I am a Pittsburgh girl at heart!!! Always have been and always will be no matter how long I have lived away!! I bleed black and gold and LOVE supporting anything that deals with back home! So you could imagine how excited I was to find out that there is a cloth diaper store in Pittsburgh!!! Technically I would consider it Robinson Twp. But still it is was an awesome new place to check out last time I went home!!
While I was home I had a couple extra hours one day and decided that I was going to go and check out Happy Baby Company! It is an awesome family run store who cares about their customers, regulars, newbies, and even out of towners!! The owner, Adam, was at the store the day I decided to check it out. He was extremely helpful and just plan an awesome person.
I talked to him about how I ran a blog and how I had wanted to check them out when I was home in July but ran out of time. Adam was awesome and checked out my blog right then and there. We got to talking about washing routines and detergents. He asked me what kind of water I have. I told him just plan old regular water. He got up from the computer when over to his self of Lulu's In The Fluff detergent, grabbed a bag and said, "here try this out, write a review, and I will do a giveaway." Wow how awesome was that! I really just wanted to check out the store.
Happy Baby Company actually owns Lulu's In The Fluff! If you live in the area you can actually take your own container into the store and buy Lulu's by the pound!!! If you buy it by the pound it is $5.95/LB. If you buy a bag of the detergent it is $13.95 for 2 LBS. Plus Happy Baby Company offers FREE SHIPPING with orders over $35!! I have to say I can't wait for my next trip to see Adam and I will be bringing some Tupperware with me all the way from VA :) You can find both Happy Baby Company and Lulu's In The Fluff on Facebook (FB links on this set of names) and HBC and Lulu's on Twitter!!

My Thoughts
MY bag of Lulu's!!! |
Let's start with the simple fact that you can actually use LESS detergent with Lulu's than with the other big name CD safe detergents. Lulu's has less fillers so there 2 LB bag last just as long as everyone else s 2.7 LB bag. You may say oh only .7 LB less but think about it!!! What is that other .7 LB actually made up of? Lulu's is a lot powdery than the other brands. It is more the consistency of fluff white sand. It does not stick to itself and hold the shape of a scoop like other brands I have tried. That does make it a little more difficult to get out of the bag at 1st until you are use to it :)
Lulu's is not scented so you don't have to try and figure out what scent you may like and then you end up hating!! Your diapers just smell clean when you are done washing them :) I have to say out of all of the detergents I have tried Lulu's might very well be my absolute favorite!! It gets my diapers super clean, I don't have to use a ton of it, and I have to say I love saying the name :) So check Lulu's out, it is sold a bunch of places (find them here) and of course you can get it from Happy Baby Company!!!
One thing I wish all these laundry care companies had was a stain stick of some kind becuase I always have issues getting my dipes clean:(
ReplyDeleteGood points - I'm new to cding and might just check them out. Seems like a really nice company too - always a plus in my book. Thanks! Robin Phillips-Knotts
ReplyDeleteI kind of like that it's not scented. You could pretty easily tell whether it's working or not! Anne Sweden at Zephyr Hill

ReplyDeleteI have heard Lulu's is great for Hard Water too!
I like that it weighs less due to less fillers - that is less carbon footprint too and it probably cost less to ship :)
