Diaper Donks AI2 Cloth Diaper - Review

Jennifer from Diaper Donks sent me the cutest diaper EVER!!!  It is pink cheetah and has ruffles!  YES I said RUFFLES!  How much more girly and adorable can you get?  I received a OS AI2 with snap on ruffles.  Diaper Donks uses a fold over rise instead of the traditional Snap Down rise.  This is the only diaper I have that has the fold over rise.  When I 1st saw it I was kind of scared.  I had no idea how to use it!!!  But it is super simple.  For Baby K I fold over the top of the diapers and use the inside snaps.  It says that the diaper will fit from 10 lbs but for me I'm honestly not sure.  Baby K is 19.8lbs and I use the only rise there is.  I could see using the diaper around 15 lbs. maybe a little sooner but I think it will come up pretty high on baby.

Turned & Top-stitched One Size All in Two Diaper.

Features a Cotton Outer, & Snap on Ruffles (for a ruffle diaper).

A hidden layer of waterproof PUL, and a soft cushy Micro chamois inner to help keep babies bottom dry.

Soakers

Includes a snake style snap in soaker made of Heavy Organic Bamboo Fleece and topped with Cotton or Organic Bamboo Velour.

One Size Fits Most 10-32lbs

All Diapers now come with Fold Over Rise Snaps.

My Thoughts

Smallest the Diaper will go

Ease:  My diaper came with 2 snap together lay on soakers.  All I have to do is snap the inserts together and snap them onto the diaper!!!  I then put it on Baby K, fold the inserts to fit her best, fold over the top of the diaper and then snap it on her.  I know it seems like a lot of sets but really it is not that bad :)  It is just as easy as any other AI2!

Largest Rise Setting

Price:  The specific diaper that I received, with ruffles, runs $25.  That price for a diaper with the little extra is a really good price for a WAHM diaper!!!  WAHM diapers usually run a little more than the big brand diapers because they are made with love and hands instead of with a huge machine.

Folded over on Baby K

When and Why I use it:  I use my Diaper Donks AI2 during the day.  I especially like to use it around the house when I know I am not going to be putting pants on Baby K!!!  I like to be able to put the ruffles on the diaper and be able to see them :)  Even when I put a skirt on Baby K the ruffles are so high on the diaper that I am unable to see them.  So I use it with out pants!!  I have also used it once or twice at nap time without any problems.  

Fold over rise

Recommend:  I would defiantly recommend checking out Diaper Donks!!!  Especially if you have a little girl :)  Diaper Donks has the cutest ruffle diapers and also skirtie diapers :)  Check them out and let them know you found out about them from SAH CD Mama!!!

Ruffles on Baby K!!!

Overall:  I would give the Diaper Donks OS AI2 a B- to a B.  I absolutely love the diaper but I am not in absolutely love with soakers.  One of the 2 soakers likes to curl around the edges.  But other than that I have not had any problems with the diaper at all :)
