There are a ton of different "commercial" brands of wool diaper covers out there!  But what do you do when you want to use wool but still support the WAHMs?  Well honestly, you search REALLY, REALLY hard to find a WAHM that does wool....unless you know where to look or have heard of them before :)  So that is what I am here for!!!  To let you know about an awesome WAHM that makes awesome HAND knit wool soakers/diaper covers for your little ones!!

Now I know that everyone LOVES a WAHM and wool (if you have used it)!  So by now you are probably ready to place your order and want to know who I am talking about.  Well, I have had the privilege to work with Tina from September!!!  She makes beautiful hand knit wool soakers :)  And I have the privilege to let you all know about them!!!

Tina does a wonderful job HAND knitting her wool soakers!!  They are all one of a kind because
they are not machine made like the big brand wool!  The one I received is a beautiful dark plum color!  It is closely compared in size to a "big brand" ML, but this one has an adjustable waist so you can get a nice fit around little ones tummy! 

The soaker is single layered where the big brands are usually double layered.  But that honestly doesn't make a difference as long as you lano!!!  Plus the whole thing about wool is that it is not made to hold moisture!!!  You should have enough absorbency in your diaper so that the whole is acting as a barrier between the diaper and everything else!

Overall, I have had a very pleasant experience with my 1st WAHM wool item!!  Wool can be very intimidating in the beginning, but once you get the hang of it you will wonder why you ever waited so long :)  Baby K loves to wear her "pretty" at night and ask for them regularly!

Let me start this review off with a sincere apology to Amanda at Natural Living Mamma!!  This review has taken a lot longer than it ever should have and I am truly sorry for that.  Unfortunately I took on more than I should have around Christmas time and the end of the year.  But thank you so much for being patient!!  And now for the review :)

Amanda at Natural Living Mamma is a Natrual Living Blogger, Mamma and Wife. About the Butt Salve (from Amanda)

This diaper salve is made with organic herbs and oils by me in small batches to ensure quality and that you are getting the freshest product without the use of any preservatives.

It is formulated to gently soothe, protect, and promote healing for delicate skin.

 
Ingredients:
Organic Olive Oil, Bees Wax, Organic Plantain, Organic Nettle, Organic Calendula, Organic Chamomile, CPTG Essential Oils of Lavender and Melaleuca 

Some items tend to melt if shipped in warm temperatures and will solidify when stored inside at a temperature under 76 degrees.

My thoughts

Who doesn't love a CD safe diaper cream that you can actually READ all of the ingredients in?!?!  I hate when I look on a product and can on read and understand maybe the 1st 5 ingredients if I'm lucky!  I love that I can read, pronoun and actually understand everything that is in the Butt Salve. 

This Butt Salve is wonderful to use.  It goes on easily and is not a pain to wipe off your finger after your done changing the diaper!  The only thing I would have to say that I don't like about the Butt Salve is the smell.  I'm not sure what the "scent" that I'm not fond of is but that is me personally.  I also am not a fan of the smell of Tea Tree Oil but I know many who LOVE it!!  So you may be one of the people would would love the smell of this :)  I have a friend who does!

Overall for a WAHM made product this is a great item and the price can't be beat!  At only $6 for 2 oz or $12 for 4 oz it is a great price!!!  And make sure to check out all of the other awesome products available from Natural Mamma!!!        

Whispering Owlets On-The-Go Table Mat - Review

If you are like my family and have ate at a Chick Fil A more than once then you know of the throw away table mats that the kids get.  If not you probably still know what I mean :)  When little ones are small you usually just put their food on the table because you know that is where it is going to end up anyways!  But think about how much trash that is making everyday.  If you are a family of 2 and use the throw away ones 3 times a week then you are throwing away 6 more thing than you need too.  And think about how much traffic can go through a Chick Fil A in just 1 day.  I bet it adds up really quick!!!

So what can we do about it?  Just not use them?  Put Baby's food on the maybe clean table?  Have you ever thought about a reusable table mat for your little one instead of a throw away one?  I never had one when a was little but we also didn't eat out as much with her as we do now :)  Anymore sometimes it is much easier to just go and grab lunch or dinner and sometimes A asks if I can take her to breakfast and lunch.  I wish we didn't eat out as much as we do but sometimes it just works!

Baby K is just starting to use plates at home but when we are out I don't want her to throw a breakable plate on the ground so I usually just throw her food on the table (after I wipe it down myself).  But still who wants their kid eating straight of the table?  So I was super excited when I received the On-The-Go Table Mat from Whispering Owlets Boutique.  Now I have a cute and creative way to feed Baby K without just putting her food on the table or giving her a plate she might break :)

Diaper Donks Ruffle Bottom/Skirtie - Review

I reviewed a ruffle bottom diaper for Jenny at Diaper Donks back in April as part of Baby K's 1st Birthday Celebration.  You can read the 1st review here :)  If you read that review then you know how much I love my 1st Donk :)  So you can only imagine how excited I was to receive a message from Jenny asking me to review another diaper for her!!!  Not only was I super excited to hear from one of the nicest WAHMs I have worked with but I was super excited to review one of her Skirties this time!!!

So you may now be asking yourself....What is a Skirtie?!?!?!  Let's just say it is AWESOME!  Well it is but really it is a skirt that attaches to a Diaper Donks diaper!!! So now you can really show off that adorable diaper for your little girl while wearing the matching/coordinating skirt with it :)  Jenny was wonderful and allowed me to choose any fabric that I wanted from her huge stash for cuteness!!  I choose the pink Cranky Clouds HTF print.  It is adorable and I thought would be cute for a skirtie/ruffle bottom.

Who doesn't LOVE a WAHM diaper? But who can keep up with when they are all stocking? The Diaper Addict Hybrid AI2 - Review

The 1st time I met Amie from The Diaper Addict was last spring.  She was invited to a meet up I was going to by a fellow WAHM that I know.  We met at the mall play place one morning, hung out, chatted and chased some little ones around!  Thinking back on it I believe this was in late March to early April, since I was picking up Baby K's birthday diaper and we were talking about the event.  I was still looking for a couple days to fill in April so Amie was generous enough to donate a set of cloth wipes for one of the days!  This is where things started but it was just the beginning :)

I followed The Diaper Addict on Facebook since our 1st meeting and have kept in touch with Amie.  We would chat every once in a while on Facebook, keep up with each others pages, and the other surface stuff.  During the Olympics was when everything started to go below the surface!  Pretty much everyday I was spotlighting one of the Olympic diapers she made!  I would message her with how many likes, comments, shares, etc. the diapers were getting!
